From October 2018 to October 2019 I formed part of the U Conference team as a Creative Advisor developing the event material, experience, and social media content in collaboration with Juventud Aliancista (Christian Missionary Alliance District of Puerto Rico), e625, and Catacumbas Church. The Christian event was geared toward university students aged 17-25 in Puerto Rico interested in growing their personal, professional, and spiritual lives with conferences, speakers, workshops, and worship.
I wanted to share one of the promotion drafts for the event and a shirt mockup. The theme was Asombro, which is Wonder in Spanish so taking that as inspiration I began to reflect about what creates wonder in me and other young people that would be attending the event like nature and art. These two connect because they are reflections of the art of the Creator and the creativity He places in us. Paintings like the widely recognized Creation of Adam by Michelangelo served as inspiration along with modern contemporary art.
